Purpose:
This public hearing is conducted to afford affected property and business owners, interested persons and organizations the opportunity to provide comments to FDOT regarding the proposed median change to Fletcher Avenue (SR 579/CR 582A) at Summit Avenue, FPN: 436481-1. The existing full median will be closed and a concrete barrier constructed. Motorists traveling east on Fletcher Avenue will no longer be able to turn left at Summit Avenue. Motorists traveling south on Summit Avenue will no longer be able to turn left onto Fletcher Avenue and travel east.

This VPH is held pursuant to Chapters 120, 335.18 and 335.199, Florida Statutes. FDOT will receive verbal comments at each VPH viewing location and on line from registered webinar participants. Written comments may also be submitted at the VPH viewing location. Written or emailed comments not received at the hearing must be postmarked or emailed by July 28, 2017, to become part of the official public hearing record. The group discussions include topics such as multi-modal transportation and evaluating infrastructure improvements in the context of a comprehensive regional transportation system.  
To ensure a cross section of the community is represented, Community Working Group members were selected from within the community including individual citizens, neighborhood/HOA association representatives, civic and faith-based leaders, small business owners and business leaders, among others.  The Community Working Group is open to the public. Purpose:
This public hearing is conducted to afford affected property and business owners, interested persons and organizations the opportunity to provide comments to FDOT regarding the proposed median changes to SR 686 between the 49th Street, Bayside Bridge, and Ulmerton Road. The existing full medians will be closed or modified at the following locations: 1) Existing opening immediately southeast of the intersection of Roosevelt Boulevard with the Bayside Bridge, in front of the car auction, to be closed; 2) Elimination of the existing traffic signal at 46th Street; median to be closed, and traffic signal to be relocated south to Terminal Boulevard; 3) Terminal Boulevard to become a signalized intersection; 4) Existing full median opening at 144th Avenue/Airport Parkway to be closed; 5) Existing full median opening at the GE Aviation building to be closed; 6) Existing full median opening at 140th Avenue (Pinellas County Driver’s License Office access) to be closed; 7) Existing full median opening 400 feet south of 140th Avenue to be closed.
