The Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) will conduct a public hearing and workshop pursuant to Section 339.135(4)(c), Florida Statutes, to consider the Department’s (District Two and Florida’s Turnpike Enterprise) Tentative Five-Year Work Program for Fiscal Years 2015/2016 through 2019/2020, and to consider the necessity of making any changes to the Work Program.  All persons are invited to attend and be heard.

Purpose:
The Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) invites you to attend a public meeting to discuss potential solutions to the traffic congestion experienced where US 1, San Carlos Avenue, San Marco Avenue (SR A1A) and May Street all  intersect in St. Augustine, FL.  The meeting will be held Monday, December 15, 2014, at the St. Johns County Public Library-Main Branch, 1960 Ponce de Leon     Boulevard, St. Augustine, FL  32084.
 
For your convenience, the meeting will be an open house format. Drop by anytime between 4:30-6:30 p.m. to review the exhibits and talk to Department staff. Then at 6:30 pm, you will be given an opportunity to make public comments.
 
This meeting is being held to gather input from the public regarding proposed improvements being considered as FDOT completes a Project Development and Environment (PD&E) study of these intersections. Possible solutions being shown at the meeting include the addition of a left turn lane at US 1 and a roundabout at May Street.
