Purpose:
The Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) invites you to an Alternatives Development Public Meeting for the State Road (SR) 434 Corridor Planning Study. We will present potential alternatives and modifications for the SR 434 area, from Rangeline Road to US 17-92, a distance of approximately two miles.
 
The meeting is Thursday September 29, 2016 at the City of Longwood, City Commission Chambers - 174 W. Church Ave, Longwood, FL, 32750.  The workshop will be from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. with a presentation at approximately 6:00 p.m.
 
Attendees may review study information and discuss the potential alternatives and modifications with the study team.

I-4 Beyond the Ultimate PD&E hearing Oct. 10

Purpose:

There will be a public hearing for the “I-4 Beyond the Ultimate” PD&E Study. This study focuses on the concept of adding express lanes on Interstate 4 (I-4), from west of US 27 to west of Kirkman Road/State Road (SR) 435 to the west, and from east of SR 434 to east of SR 472 to the east; a distance of approximately 40 miles. At this meeting we will present the recommended design alternative for adding express lanes on the segment of I-4 from west of the Beachline Expressway/SR 528 to west of Kirkman Road/SR 435 in Orange County. This hearing is being conducted to give interested persons an opportunity to express their views concerning the location, conceptual design, and social, economic, and environmental effects of the proposed improvements.

The hearing will be Monday, October 10, 2016, from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at the Wyndham Orlando Resort International Drive, located at 8001 International Drive, Orlando, FL 32819. It will begin as an open house at 5:30 p.m. with a formal presentation at 6:00 p.m., followed by a public comment period.

Public Meeting for pedestrian crossing options at Nova Road

The Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) will have a public meeting to learn about a review of potential pedestrian crossing options along Nova Road, between Sterthaus Drive and Wilmette Avenue in Ormond Beach, FL.
 
This meeting will be an open house format, held from 6:00-7:30 p.m. on Tuesday, October 11, 2016. The meeting will be on the second floor of The Trails Club House at 201 Main Trail, in Ormond Beach, FL 32174. A short presentation will be given at 6:30 p.m. to review the various options. Presentation boards detailing the potential pedestrian crossing options will be available, as well as staff to answer questions from attendees. Your feedback will be used to assist FDOT and the City of Ormond Beach in making an informed decision regarding the preferred pedestrian improvement.
