Location Name: Sanford City Hall -- Commission Chambers

Discussion of I-4 Ultimate and small businesses.

A whole new Interstate 4 (I-4) is coming to Central Florida. Often called the backbone of our transportation system; I-4 will be completely transformed along the 21 miles that stretch from Kirkman Rd to State Road 434.

As we work to build a better I-4, get ready for four new Express Lanes, reconstructed interchanges, completely rebuilt bridges, and an exciting new look and feel!

FDOT Considers a Small Business as:
A business with a size limit of $15.0 million maximum for construction and maintenance firms and $6.5 million maximum for professional services firms.

A business determines their size by averaging their annual gross receipts over the last three years. If their average gross receipts are under the size standard, the business would be considered a small business.

Toll Rate Rulemaking Public Hearing
District: Five
Meeting Type: Hearing
Date: Tuesday, May 05, 2015
Time: 6:00 pm to N/A
Street Address: Webinar
City: Over the Internet
Purpose:
The Florida Department of Transportation (Department) is hosting a Toll Rate Rulemaking Hearing to provide the public an opportunity to review and comment on proposed amendments to Rule 14-15.0081, Florida Administrative Code. This includes the proposal of new toll rates for the Department segment of the Wekiva Parkway in Orange, Lake and Seminole Counties and the elimination of the minimum toll per trip on the First Coast Expressway in Clay and Duval Counties.  Finally, as a result of the toll plaza removal on the Martin B. Anderson Beachline Expressway owned by Central Florida Expressway Authority (CFX), the CFX toll will be collected at the Turnpike’s Beachline West Toll Plaza in addition to the Turnpike’s toll. The new toll rate for the Turnpike’s Beachline West Toll Plaza will reflect this combined toll.

The administrative rule listed above is part of the Florida Administrative Code. Administrative rules are a state agency’s statement of general applicability that implements, interprets, or prescribes law, policy or agency statements describing the procedure or practice requirements of the agency. The rule development and rulemaking process is the procedure to amend existing or develop new administrative rules.

To find out more about the proposed rule amendment, please join us for a Toll Rate Rulemaking Public Hearing on Tuesday, May 5, 2015, at 6:00 p.m. The Public Hearing will be conducted in a webinar format, which is a live presentation held over the internet. Registration is required to attend the webcast.
