SR 60 from CR 630 to east of the Kissimmee River Bridge Public Hearing

Purpose:
The Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT), District One, will hold a Public Hearing for the State Road (SR) 60 Project Development and Environment (PD&E) study from County Road (CR) 630 in Polk County to east of the Kissimmee River Bridge in Osceola County. The hearing is Thursday, May 24, 2018, at Westgate River Ranch, Main Hall, 3200 River Ranch Boulevard, River Ranch, Florida, 33867.
The hearing begins with an open house at 5 p.m. and follows with a formal presentation and public comment period at 6 p.m. People attending the hearing can review project displays and speak one-on-one with project team members. Written statements or exhibits submitted at the hearing, emailed, or mailed and postmarked by Monday, June 4, 2018, will become part of the official hearing transcript.
The recommended widening alternative will require acquisition of right-of-way for road improvements and stormwater management ponds. Existing access to properties along SR 60 will change due to the addition of a median, a result of widening the road.
 
The environmental review, consultation, and other actions required by applicable federal environmental laws for this project are being, or have been, carried out by the Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) pursuant to 23 U.S.C. §327 and a Memorandum of Understanding dated December 14, 2016 and executed by the Federal Highway Administration and FDOT.

State Road 82 from Alabama Road to the Lee County/Hendry County Line

Purpose:
Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT), District One, is holding a public information meeting to discuss the upcoming improvements to State Road 82 from Alabama Road to the Lee/Hendry County Line in Lee County,
Florida.  The meeting will be held on Tuesday, June 5, 2018, from 4:30 p.m. to 6 p.m. at Veterans Park, 55 Homestead Road S., Lehigh Acres, Florida, 33936.
 
The meeting will be an open house format; no formal presentation will be made. Those attending the meeting will be able to view displays, ask questions, and discuss the work one-on-one with members of the project team.
 
The department’s contractor, Sacyr Construction, begins work summer 2018 to widen SR 82 to six lanes from Alabama Road to The Lee/Hendry County Line, with completion estimated by the end of 2020. This corridor will have a median separating three 12-foot travel lanes in each direction, 6.5-foot inside paved shoulders, bike lanes, a 5-foot sidewalk on the north side and a 10-foot shared-use path on the south side. The project will also add a grass median and LED lighting throughout this segment.
 
Crews will begin work summer 2018 with installation of construction signs and silt fencing for erosion control.  Work occurs during the day and during nighttime/overnight hours.  Lane closures on SR 82 may occur in both the westbound and eastbound travel lanes from 7 p.m. to 6 a.m.

Purpose:
The Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) requests sealed bids from interested parties for the following:  
FDOT shall dispose of property consisting of a 16,033-square foot trapezoid parcel obtained as an uneconomic remainder from the acquisition of 1938982 parcel 179. The property type is an improved commercial site located at 516 SOUTH BREVARD AVENUE (SR 35/US 17), ARCADIA, DESOTO, FLORIDA.
Current permittable access is via the current existing driveway on Nelson Street.
The sale is being conducted by sealed bids with a minimum bid of the appraised fair market value, $150,000.00.  The bid will be awarded to the highest bidder.  The FDOT reserves the right to withdraw the property if the minimum bid is not received.  The oil, gas, and mineral rights, if any, to the property shall be retained by FDOT unless petitioned in writing by the buyer for a waiver to release same.
