Purpose:
The Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT), District One, is holding a public information meeting for the design of the US 41 Pedestrian Bridges over Myakkahatchee Creek in the City of North Port, Sarasota County. We invite you to attend the meeting anytime from 5:30 p.m. to 7 p.m. on Tuesday, April 21, 2015 at the North Port Public Library, 13800 Tamiami Trail in North Port.
 
The meeting is an open house with no formal presentation. People attending the meeting may review project displays and aerial photographs, and speak one-on-one with project team members.

FDOT developed this meeting in compliance with Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 and related statutes. U.S. 41 at Lely Reort Boulevard Safety Improvements

Purpose:
This is a public hearing about proposed safety improvements to US 41 at Lely Resort Boulevard.
 
The proposed improvements include:
 
• The improvement includes modification of the full median opening to a dual directional opening.  Currently all movements are allowed at the median opening.  With this change, left turns out of Gridley Medical Building/Equestrian Professional Center and Lely Resort Boulevard will be restricted to improve safety at the intersection.  Drivers will continue to be able to make left turns from US 41.
 
Temporary median modification anticipated in summer 2015, with final construction tentatively set for fall 2015.
 
The public hearing is from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Thursday, April 23, 2015 at the Collier County South Regional Library, 8065 Lely Cultural Parkway, Naples, Florida.  The public hearing will consist of an open house from 5 p.m. to 6 p.m., allowing people time to view displays, ask questions, and discuss the work one-on-one with members of the project team. There will be a brief audio-visual presentation about the project at 6 p.m. followed by public comment period until closing.

Purpose:
The FDOT is presenting proposed design changes for a 3.5-mile segment of SR 542 from east of Buckeye Loop Road to east of US 27 in Polk County, FL. FDOT sent notices of the public hearing to all property owners located within 300 feet on either side of SR 542 within the project limits. Draft project reports and design plans are available for public review through June 1, 2015, at Winter Haven Public Library, 325 Avenue A NW, Winter Haven, FL. Library hours are Monday and Wednesday 9 a.m. to 6 p.m., Tuesday and Thursday 10 a.m. to 7 p.m., and Friday and Saturday 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
