Purpose:
The Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) invites you to attend a public information meeting concerning proposed improvements to State Road (S.R.) 10 (U.S. 90A/Nine Mile Road) from S.R. 297 (Pine Forest Road) to S.R. 95 (U.S. 29) in Escambia County.  The meeting will be held Tuesday, December 2, 2014, from 5:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. CST at the Plainview Baptist Church, 1101 West Nine Mile Road, Pensacola.
 
The intent of the project is to increase vehicular capacity of the corridor as well as accommodate bicycle and pedestrian traffic.  Improvements include widening 2.28 miles of S.R. 10 (U.S. 90A/Nine Mile Road) from two to four lanes, while adding sidewalks, improving drainage, and constructing various safety upgrades along the corridor to meet current standards set by the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA).  Additionally, there will be traffic signal modifications and the construction of stormwater drainage treatment facilities.  The project is funded for construction.  Enclosed for your review is a copy of the meeting handout.  Your comments are welcomed and appreciated.
 
Maps, drawings, and other information will be on display.  There will be no formal presentation; however, representatives from FDOT will be available to discuss proposed improvements, answer questions, and receive comments.

This Public Hearing is being conducted pursuant to Section 339.135(4)(c), Florida Statutes.  The purpose of the public hearing is to consider the Department’s Tentative Work Program for District Three, for the period 2015/2016 through 2019/2020, and to consider the necessity of making any changes to the program.

S.R. 22 (Wewa Highway) Hearing

Purpose:
The Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) invites you or a member of your staff to attend a public hearing Thursday, December 11, 2014, from 5:30 p.m. until 6:30 p.m. CDT in the Callaway Arts & Conference Center, 500 Callaway Park Way. The hearing will begin as an open house at 5:30 p.m., followed by a formal presentation at 6 p.m.
 
The hearing is being conducted to give interested persons an opportunity to express their views concerning the location, conceptual design, and social, economic, and environmental effects of the proposed improvements.
The project consists of widening S.R. 22 to four-lanes within the project limits, as well as providing a left-turn flyover at the intersection of S.R. 22 and U.S. 98 (Tyndall Parkway). Draft project documents are available for review from November 20, 2014, until December 22, 2014, at the following locations:
