Purpose:
From Monday, Dec. 10 – Friday, Dec. 14, the Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) will hold a week-long virtual public hearing on its Tentative Five-Year Work Program for Fiscal Years 2019/2020 through 2023/2024.  The online public hearing will be available 24 hours a day at www.D5WPPH.com. On the website, informational material will be available for viewing, along with opportunities to provide comments.

The Tentative Five-Year Work Program provides direction on where and when to build transportation system improvements, and is used to forecast funds needed for improvements across all modes of transportation including:
Roadway       Multimodal Transit (Passenger Operations)
Bicycle       Pedestrian
Freight       Aviation
Seaports       Space
Enhancement Projects (Trails and Sidewalks)  

The purpose of the public hearing is to present the Tentative Five-Year Work Program, seek public input and provide interested persons the opportunity to express their views on the information. The Tentative Five-Year Work Program provides proposed improvements for Florida’s Turnpike Enterprise, as well as the nine counties that comprise District Five: Brevard, Flagler, Lake, Marion, Orange, Osceola, Seminole, Sumter, and Volusia.

There is also a public information outreach meeting scheduled on Tuesday, Dec. 11 from 4:30-6:30 p.m. where staff will be available in-person to answer questions. It will be held at the Florida Department of Transportation District Five Office - Cypress A & B Conference Rooms, 719 South Woodland Blvd., DeLand, FL 32720.

Public Meeting on Forest City Road (State Road 434) Widening

The Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) is holding a public information meeting regarding the proposed improvements for State Road (S.R.) 434 (Forest City Road) from S.R. 424 (Edgewater Drive) to the Seminole County line (Maitland Boulevard) in Orange County.
 
The meeting will be held on Thursday, December 13, 2018, from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the New Life Community Church located at 8310 Forest City Road in Orlando. Coast to Coast Trail - Titusville Gap Meeting

Purpose:
The Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) is holding a public meeting to talk about a proposed multi-use trail that is part of the existing Coast to Coast trail and is intended to enhance pedestrian and bicyclist safety in the area, as well as complete the Titusville Gap. Additional roadway modifications and a median will be added on State Road (S.R.) 406 to provide a refuge area for pedestrians at the proposed crosswalk. The purpose of this public meeting is to present and explain the proposed improvement, seek public and agencies’ input, and provide interested persons an opportunity to provide feedback and comments to the design team.
 
The public meeting will be Monday, December 17, 2018 at Titusville City Hall in the Council Chambers at 555 South Washington St., Titusville, Florida 32796. The meeting will be 5:30-7:30 p.m. The meeting will be conducted as an open house during which time displays and other project information will be available for review. Staff will also be available to discuss the project. An informational looping presentation will also be given playing throughout the open house. The Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) is holding a public hearing on proposed improvements that include extending Kirkman Road from Universal Boulevard to Carrier Drive.
 
The hearing is Tuesday, Dec. 18, at the Orange County Convention Center in the West Concourse, Room W315, located at 9800 International Drive in Orlando. Follow signs for the West Concourse and park in West Concourse Parking Lot, located behind the West Concourse Building. For free parking, tell the parking attendant you are attending the Kirkman Road Public Meeting.
 
The hearing is being conducted to present the proposed improvements, seek public and agency input, and provide interested persons an opportunity to express their views about the project. The hearing will begin with an open house at 5 p.m. during which time project information and displays are available for review. A formal presentation will be given at 6 p.m., followed by a public comment period where attendees can make public testimony at the microphone. A certified court reporter will be present to collect and document comments for the project record.
 
Participants may also provide written comment, in place of oral comment, at any time during the public comment period, which ends on Dec. 28, 2018. Public Information Meeting Goldenrod Road Safety Improvements

Purpose:
The Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) is holding a public information meeting regarding plans to improve safety along State Road (S.R.) 551 (Goldenrod Road) in Orange County.
 
This meeting is being conducted to present the design plans previously presented at the public hearing held in May 2018, for those who were not able to attend. The project improves safety along S.R. 551 (Goldenrod Road) from S.R. 408 to S.R. 50 (East Colonial Drive). It also involves milling and resurfacing, construction of a raised median, turn lane improvements, widening for bike lanes, and traffic signal improvements.  The project is funded for construction in summer 2021.
 
The meeting is Thursday, December 20 at Astro Skate of Orlando, 866 S. Goldenrod Rd., Orlando, FL 32822. The meeting will be an open house format, where attendees can come anytime between 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.  Project information will be on display, and there will be a presentation on a continuous loop running throughout the meeting.  Project representatives will be available to discuss the project and answer questions.
